Contact Sheet

In the image above is the contact sheet of all the images that i've made and which i would use. The changes that i've made is that instead of actually taking the photos in Medium-Shot, I instead made them a Medium-Long Shot so that later on if i have to zoom out, I don't encounter the issue of the image being small.

The following article will be used for the double page spread

The slayer has gone back to hell on a rampage slaying every demon in sight. The reason for it is still unknown but we are still thankful for him being our guardian. Experts say that the reason behind it might be because of what happened to his pet bunny a couple years back.

In december 1997 doom made his first appearance in the army and fought against the breach of demons comming from hell. While in the fight between the humans and demons one of the demons snuck past by and killed dooms one and only pet Daisy. For any person a loss of a loved one can make a huge impact on the person themselves and make some people get revenge if the loss was made by someone.

Even though hell grows everyday doom guy wont stop going in and killing every single demon he sees until he feels like his job is done. It is still suprising for a human to have such as strengths and resistance that it feels like a god came down to be our savour. But the UAC mars base will still continue to research for potentional strength and power from the blade of hell. They are still determined to get unlimited and stronger energy from the crucible. It has been told that the energy from the souls of the sinners are able to power and speed up more than what humanity requires and can even create your own stars with the power of the souls of sinners. No one knows how it’s being powered but for now they’ll just use it for research and energy.

It is still suprising on how doom guy managed to bring the crucible from hell back to UAC mars base. But even though it gives alot of energy and power it still can be dangerous and harm humanity in one shape or form. But for now whenever hell tries to take over we can just hope doomguy is there to save us.

Masthead

After making the mock-up, I set myself working on the design in photoshop due to the wide range of tools available and the simplicity of understanding on how to use the software.

This is how the masthead will look like in 2D:

I made the final name to be "Slayers Page" as it references to the main character in Doom. The name of it would also bring more interest to the reader just by reading the Masthead.

For the next stage, I made some reajustments to angles and positions to fit in the style of the mock-up. The purple box is used for the original boundries of the 2D Masthead and the dark lines is the 3D boundry box for it.

For the final design i made some changes to the angles, adjusted the size of letters and the colourings to suit the Doom style more.
